Mom Tip

Make it a game!
When it's time to clean up a room, try a couple tricks:
1.  Teach them to pick up items by color, then switch to a new color when it's time.
2.  Have them take turns being the "nice boss."
3.  Have them pick up all the round things, then all the square things, etc...
Pretty soon the room is cleaned up!

Cheap Arts and Crafts Ideas For Kids
How many times have we heard the phrase "Mum I’m Bored Waaaa!" Well here I want to bring you some ideas for cheap arts and crafts to keep the kiddies occupied.

Tips for Teaching Your Children to Read

7 Fun Birthday Party Theme Ideas
Birthdays! A joyous occasion to be celebrated every year!  There's a reason kids love birthdays and it's not just because they get lots of presents. Ok, yeah, maybe it is but there's more to it than that. Most of the birthday gifts are forgotten a few months, if not days, after the big event and yet the memories of the birthday parties can last a lifetime.

Tips on Garage Sales
Tis the season to think about garage sales. They can be such fun, or total washouts.
It all depends on how well they are set up and how comfortable visitors feel perusing your wares. Here are a few tips that might help you, in case you're considering hosting a garage
sale. I'd like to thank readers of Penny Parenting for contributing such great suggestions!

To Love, Honor, and Suffer
Being accused of snoring is one thing. Being accused of honking is completely ridiculous.

A Love of Reading
Start teaching your child a love of books at an early age, as soon as they can draw and express themselves, by helping them to create their own book.

Recipe Card Holder
When I was in third grade, we made a Mother's Day gift for our Mom's that I know mine loved! Over 20 years later, this gift is still in existence -- yes, it is faded, and the paint is a little chipped, but with all things considered, it still looks great!
