If you like Jim Carrey you will absolutely love this movie. If you don't like Jim Carrey (as I don't) you will really like this movie.
| I wasn't sure what to expect. For months we've heard about the
Grinch. It was hush hush and secret secret. We couldn't even get a glimpse of the Grinch until very recently. It was to be the biggest holiday film yet. The numerous commercials have hit the airwaves pushing everything from Grinch Oreos to Grinch cereal weeks before the film's release. Was it over hyped? Could it ever live up to the PR-built legend status preceding the actual release? |

The answer? Yes. The make-up, costumes and sets are absolutely amazing. Oscar-worthy, even. The story, well known and cherished by many, was kept so true to what Dr. Seuss must have envisioned as he penned the tale. The acting was sweetly done. The Grinch himself? A wicked delight.
Many of the funny scenes and jokes were aimed towards the adult audience. You will not be bored bringing the kids. The children in the screening room laughed with delight throughout the entire movie, so I can only guess that kids of all ages will adore this.
If you like Jim Carrey you will absolutely love this movie. If you don't like Jim Carrey (as I don't) you will really like this movie.
